SUMAC SPICE

Sumac is widely used in cooking in Turkey and the Middle East. A great flavour enhancer, use on vegetable or meat kebabs, sprinkle over salads, rice or hummus, particularly in place of lemon juice or vinegar as a garnish and flavouring or add to marinades for foods to be roasted or grilled. Seasoned yogurt can be served on its own or as a dip or condiment.
