Milk thistle, Silybum marianum, is often used to treat ailments of the liver, kidney and gall bladder and is known as an excellent detox herb. Make a herbal infusion with 1 teaspoon per cup required or use in smoothies. Can also be eaten in salads, soups or vegetable dishes or even add to cheeses.

Caution: This herb may cause a slight laxative effect in some people. Not for use during pregnancy. If you have a medical condition or take pharmaceutical drugs please consult your doctor prior to use.
