HYSSOP

A strong-flavoured aromatic herb from the Mediterranean region. Mainly used in the distillation of liqueurs such as Chartreuse now. Scatter onto salads, meat or oily fish dishes, or use to flavour soups, stews and fruit dishes. Use 1 teaspoon per cup required for a herbal tea infusion. A renowned tonic from ancient times and often used to treat sore throats and bronchial ailments.
