Garam masala is an aromatic blend of ground spices used alone or with other seasonings to add flavour and warmth. Common in cuisines from the Indian subcontinent, Mauritius and South Africa. Use in vegetable, curry, soup or meat dishes as a powder or form into a paste with coconut milk, vinegar, or water. Or just sprinkle on the dish when serving.
