CLEANSING GEL – For Use On Bites And Stings

Sometimes it is inevitable that a bite or sting occurs, bees, wasps, fleas, bedbugs, gnats, midges, sandflies or water ticks to name are all a risk as are a number of harmless looking plants which can cause a rash or allergic reaction.

So if not prevented be prepared and clean the area as soon as possible. Remove any visible stings (without breaking any venom bag which may be attached) and apply some gel. Re-apply at regular intervals to help cleanse the area, avoid infection, reduce pain and swelling and reduce the itch.

The effects of a bite or sting are usually confined to a localised area and can include swelling, redness, soreness and / or a rash. In cases of a snake bite or animal bite then medical help should be sought and a visit to the hospital recommended especially if a tetanus injection is required or there is risk of rabies. More serious allergic reactions may also require emergency treatment.
